Standards Group

The Standards Group is responsible for promoting and reviewing the ABPI/PIPA UK Guidelines on Standards for Medical Information Departments and the UK Standards in Pharmacovigilance.

Terms of Reference

The terms of reference of the Standards Group:

To establish, maintain and publicise guidelines on standards of service provided by information and pharmacovigilance departments within the pharmaceutical industry.
To perform benchmarking surveys of the industry information services
To feedback outcomes of these surveys to PIPA members.

Group Members represent a broad spectrum of companies within the pharmaceutical industry plus representatives from UKMI and an independent consultant (for anonymity when administering, collating and analysing survey results).
